My dad Tom was passionate about motorbikes,Aston Villa football club and the Armed Forces. He was a
very hard working unassuming person who only ever wanted a quiet life.He worked hard, doing very
heavy, physical, dirty jobs so that he could keep his family.For years my mom had mental health
problems but he tried so hard to keep the family together and he loved my mom right up until the day
he died. In fact he passed away on their 39th wedding anniversary.
On the Day You Died
The world got colder on the day you died
Everything around was drab and dull
You brought such warmth to the world around
Your soul was kind and rare and beautiful.
My world just stopped on the day you died
I can't fathom life without you here
Why is it fate can bring bonds so deep,
And then fate can make life disappear?
I'll always remember the day you died
And that raw aching hole- you were gone
Time dulled the pain and I longed for it back
It seemed a betrayal to move on.
I wasn't prepared for the day you died
Your life slipped away much too soon
And even as time lets me laugh once again
A piece of my heart went with you.

For a father
Dad
Dad...so many images come to mind
whenever I speak your name;
It seems without you in my life
things have never been the same.
What happened to those lazy days
when I was just a child;
When my life was consumed in you
in your love, and in your smile.
What happened to all those times
when I always looked to you;
No matter what happened in my life
you could make my gray skies blue.
Dad, some days I hear your voice
and turn to see your face;
Yet in my turning...it seems
the sound has been erased.
Dad, who will I turn to for answers
when life does not make sense;
Who will be there to hold me close
when the pieces just don't fit.
Oh, Dad, if I could turn back time
and once more hear your voice;
I'd tell you that out of all the dads
you would still be my choice.
Please always know I love you
and no one can take your place;
Years may come and go
but your memory will never be erased.
Today, Jesus, as You are listening
in your home above;
Would you go and find my dad
and give him all my love.

Far above in that sky,
Is a small star of mine,
Star where life exists,
That star shines brighter then light.
It is the star of fascination for me,
It is the star of my fantasy,
It is the star of my dreams,
It is the star that belongs to me.
A star that is all alone,
A star that is full of love,
A star where I have to reach,
A star of my dreams.
It is the star that lies beyond the sun,
It is the star of ultimate truth,
It is star of love and peace,
It is star where my soul lives.
It is the one to call me,
It is the one to attract me,
It is the one I’ll love to see,
It is the one I have to reach.
Remember
Remember the laughs
Remember the smiles
Remember the times we had for a while
Remember the good
Remember the bad
Remember the love that we once had
Remember with a smile
Remember with a tear
Remember the times you held me in fear
Remember the kisses
Remember the hugs
Whatever you do don't forget US
Taking a walk on memory lane
Taking a walk on memory lane
isn’t all that gray.
Taking a walk on memory lane
I see the sunrays.
Taking a walk on memory lane
isn’t all full of tears.
Taking a walk on memory lane
I have no fear.
Taking a walk on memory lane
not a dropp of rain in sight.
Taking a walk on memory lane
Every thing is alright.
Taking a walk on memory lane
is where I want you to come along.
Taking a walk on memory lane
is where we belong all lifelong.
So Sad
My sincere condolances to your family, ive just recently lost my grandad age 78. The loved ones we cherish so much are taken from us and we sometimes dont understand why it has been them taken, but he is safe now and will be taken care of by the angels wings that wrap around him so dearly. God Bless xx
